Rajasthan Centre of Advanced Technology (R-CAT)

A state-government initiative under the Department of Information Technology & Communication, inaugurated in Jaipur in August 2022 as a “finishing school” for advanced tech skills. It aims to equip youth with cutting-edge knowledge and certifications in emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Robotics, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Quantum Computing, by collaborating with industry leaders such as Apple, Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, and others, R-CAT provides globally recognized certification programs that boost employability and entrepreneurial capabilities.

Announced in the 2023–24 Rajasthan state budget, the government allocated ₹25.90 crore to establish five new R-CAT (Rajasthan Centre of Advanced Technology) centres across the state. These centres aim to provide advanced technical training in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Blockchain, Robotics, and Virtual Reality (VR) to youth in various regions.

The new centres are located at:
Ajmer: Engineering College, Ajmer
Bikaner: School Innovation Hub, Maharaja Ganga Singh University
Bharatpur: Engineering College, Bharatpur
Kota: Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Bhawan, Rajasthan Technical University
Udaipur: Vigyan Bhawan, Mohanlal Sukhadia University
